Intellectual Property

  • The data and information supplied to you through this website other than the data and information in relation to Road Line Plans (such data and information other than the data and information in relation to Road Line Plans hereinafter collectively known as "Information") is the intellectual property of the Singapore Land Authority ("SLA") and as such is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All ownership rights remain with SLA.
 

Use of Information

  • You shall not make or attempt to make any deletions, additions, adjustments or alterations to any of the Information. You may only use the Information for your personal use and you shall not lend, license, sell, resell, or disseminate, with or without charge any of the Information or commercially exploit any of the Information in any manner whatsoever, whether in Singapore or elsewhere. Encroachment Boundary Plan

  • The encroachment information provided is only indicative of existing records of encroachment maintained by Building Management Department, Singapore Land Authority. It should not be used as evidence that there is no encroachment on State Land.

  • Minor encroachments on State Land may not be in our database.

  • Any encroachment on State Land can only be confirmed by a proper survey conducted by a registered surveyor. Property owner will have to engage a surveyor if he / she wants to confirm that his /her property does not encroach onto adjoining State Land.

  • If the search or survey shows that there is encroachment on State Land, the owner is to immediately contact the Building Management Department, Singapore Land Authority at Singapore Land Authority, 8 Shenton Way #26-01, Singapore 068811, to regularise the encroachment.

Specific Terms and Conditions of Use of SLA MOBILE SERVICES
  • Please read the Terms and Conditions of Use before registering your mobile phone with the SLA Mobile Services.

  • These Specific Terms and Conditions of Use are applicable and binding on a Registered User subscribing to survey control point information provided by SLA Mobile Services and shall be read together with Terms and Conditions of Use found on the INLIS website. Where there is any discrepancy between the Terms and Conditions of Use and the Specific Terms and Conditions of Use and the latter shall prevail.

  • "Authorisation Form" means the Authorisation Form for SLA Mobile Services;

  • "INLIS website" means the website located at http://www.inlis.gov.sg or such other website as may be designated by SLA from time to time;

  • "Usage Fee" means the daily charges payable by the Registered User for use of the Service;

  • "Registered User" means the person identified in the Authorisation Form for SLA Mobile Services requesting for the provision of the Service;

  • "Registered mobile phone" means the mobile phone(s) on which the Registered User intends to receive the Service from SLA Mobile Services;

  • "Service" means the provision of survey control point information by SLA Mobile Services to the Registered User;

  • "SMS" means the text messaging facility used by the SLA Mobile Services to provide the Service over cellular networks operated in Singapore.

  1. Description of Service

    1.1 Under SLA Mobile Services, the Singapore Land Authority ("SLA") will provide 3 services for the request of survey control point information via SMS. They are:

    a) Request for the status of a horizontal or vertical control point
    b) Request for the coordinates of a horizontal control point
    c) Request for the reduced level of a vertical control point

  2. Availability of SLA Mobile Services

    2.1 The SLA Mobile Services is only available to a Registered User and during the operating hours of SLA Mobile Services. To use the Service, you must have an approved GIRO account with SLA and submit the Authorisation Form for acceptance by SLA.

  3. Usage Fee and Terms of Payment

    3.1 Usage Fee for the Service shall be that published on the INLIS website from time to time. SLA may at any time vary all or any of the Usage Fee. The Usage Fees are inclusive of GST at the rates in force from time to time.

    3.2 Unless otherwise stated, the Registered User shall be charged for each and every message sent to the Registered mobile phone(s) at the prevailing Usage Fee published on the INLIS website and the Usage Fee shall be debited directly on a daily basis through the approved GIRO account pursuant to any standing instructions stated in the Authorisation Form. The Registered User acknowledges that the Service may at time be adversely affected by problems in the mobile phone network including without limitation, interference to the network coverage. SLA shall not be liable to refund the Usage Fee for any message not being received.

    3.3 The Registered User shall be responsible for all transactions effected through the Registered mobile phone(s), regardless of whether such transactions were made with or without Registered User's authority.

    3.4 If the Registered User notices any error, inaccuracy or discrepancy in the amount(s) debited, the Registered User shall inform SLA in writing within 3 days of such debit, failing which, the debited amount(s) shall be deemed correct and the Registered User shall not be entitled to dispute any such amount(s) so debited.

    3.5 SLA shall be entitled to charge the Registered User 8% interest per annum or such other rate as may be determined by SLA from time to time (calculated on a daily basis) or a fixed sum of $3, whichever is the higher on any amount due and payable to SLA and to debit the approved GIRO account with respect to such late payment charges.

    3.6 If for whatever reasons, the SLA does not receive any payment for the provision of the Service, the Service shall be suspended until such period when SLA is put in receipt of the Usage Fee including but not limited to any late payment charges under Clause 3.5. Any suspension of the Service may be reinstated at the absolute discretion of SLA.

  4. SLA Mobile Services Coverage

    4.1 The Registered User shall ensure that the Registered mobile phone used in conjunction with the Service is registered with a licensed telephony service provider in Singapore and shall be compatible and capable of receiving the Service.

    4.2 The Registered User shall ensure that the correct phone number is provided to SLA in connection with the Service and undertakes to immediately inform SLA of any error.

  5. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

    5.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, SLA does not make any warranty or representation that the use of the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, free from transmission error or otherwise error-free. SLA also does not make any warranty or representation as regards the accuracy, currency or reliability or completeness of any information contained in or transmitted as part of the Service and the Registered User agrees to assume all risk and responsibility for the use of the Service.

    5.2 The Singapore Land Authority shall not be liable for any damages, loss, cost or expenses whatsoever (whether direct, indirect, special or consequential and whether foreseeable or not) arising out of or in connection with or referable to the Service.

  6. Intellectual Property

    6.1 The information provided by SLA Mobile Services, including but not limited to text, technology, designs, data compilations and other works, are protected by copyright, trademark and other forms of intellectual property rights. All title to and rights and interest in the Service are owned by or licensed to SLA.

    6.2 The Registered User shall use the information obtained from the SLA Mobile Services solely for personal and non-commercial use and not otherwise for copying, republication, re-distribution, re-dissemination, re-communication, publication or any other commercial exploitation in any form or by any method whatsoever without the prior written approval of the SLA.

  7. Account approval and termination

    7.1 The Singapore Land Authority may at its sole discretion reject any Authorisation Form for SLA Mobile Services requesting the use of the Service.

    7.2 The Service shall take effect on the date that SLA notifies the Registered User in writing via email of its acceptance to provide the Service.

    7.3 The Singapore Land Authority or the Registered User may terminate the Service at any time upon giving to the other party not less than one month's prior notice in writing.

    7.4 SLA shall be entitled to suspend or terminate the Service immediately, if in SLA's opinion, the Registered User is found to be in breach of any of the conditions governing the provision and use of the Service.

  8. Variation

    8.1 SLA reserves the right to vary, delete or add to any of these terms and conditions at any time at its discretion without notice. All terms and conditions are accurate at the time of publishing. Any change to these terms and conditions, pricing and operating hours of the Service will be found on the INLIS website and the Registered User is responsible for checking the INLIS website for updates. The Registered User shall be deemed to have agreed to any change to these terms and conditions, pricing and operating hours of the Service if the Registered User effects any transaction after the change was notified on the INLIS website.

  9. Governing Law

    9.1 The Terms and Conditions of Use and the Specific Terms and Conditions of Use for the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
